In this review post we have done a review about Creality’s 3D Scanner Raptor for 3D printing which is a high-precision handheld scanner designed to meet the needs of various industries so far as it has been boasted off by the company. As the official review says, we would also tell our side of story in a bit below as in 2025 we need many such things, an impressive 0.02mm accuracy, the Raptor utilizes industrial blue light technology and anti-shake tracking to ensure consistent and accurate scans. With a scanning speed of up to 60 frames per second (FPS), it supports objects ranging from 5mm to 2000mm in size, making it versatile for different applications. Whether you’re scanning small intricate parts or larger objects, the CR-SCAN Raptor ensures high-quality results, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of your 3D printing projects.

The CR-Scan Raptor is a versatile and innovative 3D scanner, offering a unique combination of blue light and infrared (NIR) light sources to meet various industrial scanning needs. Capable of handling small to large objects, from 5*5*5mm to 2000*2000*2000mm, it ensures high-precision scanning across diverse scenarios.
#(D) Industrial Class 1 Blue Light
This feature leverages ultra-high resolution blue light technology with a narrow wavelength, effectively filtering out ambient light interference. This results in increased accuracy, up to an impressive 0.02mm. The Class 1 blue light is safe for the skin, though direct exposure to the eyes should be avoided.
#(C) Infrared Structured Light Scanning
The Raptor’s NIR mode offers a larger capture range of up to 930 mm x 580 mm@1000mm, ideal for scanning larger objects. Its RGB camera, equipped with a larger aperture and 12 Flash LEDs, captures detailed textures and colors. The additional 12 infrared LEDs improve marker recognition, enabling smooth scanning of featureless objects.
#(B) User-friendly Software
Supporting multiple data formats such as OBJ, STL, and PLY, the Raptor is compatible with various CAD, 3D modeling, and design software. This flexibility makes it suitable for applications in modeling, animation, presentation, printing, and design.
#(A) (Easier Operation
The Raptor features a Ring LED indicator system displaying its operational status and new mechanical buttons to control the exposure of the depth cameras. Weighing just 372g, it is comfortable to hold and carry. The detachable lanyard adds convenience during use, ensuring the scanner is always within reach.
